Rain on Gemstone Beach - Riverton

A piece with a lot of elements and texture.  Rain on Gemstone Beach has been done on a large round canvas.  I have used collaged alcohol ink on transparent material for a part of this piece.  There are pieces of paua, wax and coloured sea glass within this piece.  I have used varnish to help the paua and the sea glass to shine.

Rain on Gemstone Beach is a piece of work which I really love.  I have been to Gemstone Beach before when the tide was low.  This time, the tide was high so I thought I'd create what I thought I'd see under the water.

The canvas is 40cm wide and the predominant colours used are greens and blues.  It's a moody looking piece with some beautiful pops of colour.

My pieces of work are delicate and need to be treated with a lot of care.  I leave the hanging up to you as many of my pieces are rotational and you can decide which way you would like this artwork to sit.  I
