Sparkling Strawberry Chocolate Swirl
Many of my pieces do their own thing, this piece really just went with it's own flow. It was initially gold on black, there is a lot of underlying texture in this piece of work. It has this stupendous name because when I look at it I see melted caramal chocolate. The gold and copper foil accentuates the texture. Once I added the bronze foil, the piece decided it would turn brown and once I added the varnish, little cracks appeared on the surface of the varnish which actually adds to it's character. I'm going to say I didn't have much control over the outcome of this piece, it wanted to do it's own thing. On the base, I have used 3D modelling paint and underneath there lie some glowing red beads. It almost looks like it's a little rusty. I should really call this piece - I'll do what I want to do and be what I want to be. Anyway, it's unique and has some gorgeous rich colours and of course oodles of gold and bronze foil.
